I'm retired from a 25-year career at a Shell chemical and refinery company in Norco, Louisiana. My last position was as a maintenance specialist, where I led mean time between repair improvement, root cause analysis exercises, and risk assessment.
It’s a wonderful feeling when you find the right home or piece of property. I live to see my clients' faces light up with that smile that says, “This is it!”
Retirement was boring, and I wanted something else in my life. Real estate was something I always wanted to do since I got out of the Marine Corps in 1976. So, at 70 years old, I returned to the classroom and finished all the required schooling to be a real estate broker in the state of North Carolina. It was a long, difficult challenge, but I did it, and I’m loving it!
